The only sin is unbelief but we are righteous by faith

Do you know that most Jews were conscious of sins and that is why they never believed in Jesus. Under the law, sin consciousness is greatly increased and faith diminishes because the law is not of faith!

Romans 3 “20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.”

Romans 7 “What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. …. through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.”

Galatians 3 “10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” 11 Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” 12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.” 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.”

This is why Israel did not believe in Jesus because they trusted in their works.

But the Gentiles believed in Jesus because they were not under the law and did not even know the law!

Psalm 147 “19 He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel. 20 He has done this for no other nation; they do not know his laws.”

Romans 9 “30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; 31 but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. 32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works.”

The Gentiles believed in Jesus because they were not sin conscious! They were conscious of the grace of God.

This is why the Roman centurion and Caananite Gentile woman believed in Jesus but many Jews failed. Therefore Jesus said that the faith of Gentiles was far greater than Israel.

Matthew 8 “10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith”

Matthew 15 “28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.”

Jesus abolished the law on the cross and the law vanished in AD70 when the temple was destroyed.

Ephesians 2 “15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations…through the cross,”

Hebrews 8 “13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.”

Jesus is now our new Temple of Grace when He died and rose again and the temple of law was destroyed in AD70.

John 2 ” 19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” 20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” 21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body. 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.”

You see now that the law does not exist, there is no sin.

Romans 4 “13 It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. 14 For if those who depend on the law are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is worthless, 15 because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.”

Jesus has taken away the sins of the world by removing the law.

John 1 “29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! “

Jesus became sin on the cross so that we can become righteous by faith through His resurrecton.

2 Corinthians 5 “17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

So you see, since Jesus has removed the law and therefore removed sin from the world, we become righteous by faith in Jesus.

The only sin today is unbelief. If we do not believe, then we perish in that sin of unbelief.

But if we believe in Jesus, we are sinless and righteous and without sin. We are perfect, holy, blameless in Christ, righteous as God, as sons of God.

In the Old heaven and earth, the law existed and the issue was sin.

In the New heaven and earth, today, there is no more law, but only grace.

Therefore the issue today is not the law and sins. The issue today is Righteousness.

Everyone who believes in Jesus is righteous and sinless by grace!
