Faith in Jesus gives us FORGIVENESS of sins = RIGHTEOUS without works!

When we believe in Jesus we receive the forgiveness of sins by grace and not works.

ACTS 13 “38 “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39 Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.”

What is sin? Sin is failure to be righteous by works of obeying ALL the commandments under the Law (Deuteronomy 6:24-25, James 2:8-10, 1 John 3:4)

What does forgiveness means? It means we are Righteous without works.

God gave the law not to make people righteous but to show them that they are sinners who need salvation (Romans 3:10-25)

So then Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead to make us righteous by faith.

The forgiveness of sins is that by faith in Jesus we are Righteous without works!

ROMANS 4 “4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. 6 David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: 7 “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”

Forgiveness of sins = Righteousness without works.

– God does not command works to believers because we are already righteous without works!

– Therefore believers cannot sin and have no sin!

– Believers are sinless and righteous as Christ Himself because Christ lives in us. Jesus is our Righteousness!
