GOD WILL NEVER JUDGE WORKS of BELIEVERS for REWARDS because Christ’s perfect works were accounted to us!
There are two covenants in the Bible: LAW and GRACE
The Law is all about works and not faith.
GAL 3 “12 The law is not based on faith”
ROM 11 “6 And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works;”
Grace is all about faith and not works.
We cannot mix the LAW and GRACE.
We cannot mix WORKS and FAITH.
All men’s good works are like filthy rags.
Even man’s good works are sin – because they fall short of God’s perfection and glory.
It is because man cannot be perfect in his works.
Even the best behaved Christian’s works are nothing compared to Christ’s works.
ROM 3 “There is no one righteous, not even one…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
Righteousness is sinless perfection: It is God’s glory and holiness that is displayed in Jesus.
Man was cursed because the Law demanded perfection that nobody could attain by their good works.
Therefore Jesus was born under the law (GAL 4:4)
His life fulfilled the demands of the law because He obeyed ALL the works of the law to be declared righteous.
His good works are perfect righteousness.
He died on the cross to pay for the sins of all men.
The law and all commands ended on the cross.
So that we are Righteous by faith in Jesus, freely !!!
ROM 3 “24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. “
ROM 10 “4 Christ is the END of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.”
COL 2 “13 When you were dead in your sins…God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. “
Every command in the Bible for works is LAW (even in the New Testament because the Apostles were still mixing Law and Grace. See Romans 13, James 2, 1 John 3, Galatians 5)
You see this is why God does not even see the works of believers.
When we believe in Jesus, God does not see the imperfect works of the believer.
Instead God sees the perfect works of Jesus in our account.
He sees that we are righteous like Jesus because He obeyed the entire law.
God does not see sins in the believer because Jesus already died on the cross to end the law.
This is why God will NEVER judge the works of believers.
This is why there are NO REWARDS for our works.
To say that God will judge the works of believers is STILL MIXING LAW and GRACE.
To say that believers still sin is MIXING LAW and GRACE.
To say that believers do “good works” or “sins” is MIXING LAW and GRACE.
The LAW is the ONLY standard of good works and sins.
Believers cannot be judged for a watered-down standard of works.
If God does judge works of believers, then it has to be based on the law.
But Believers died to the LAW and Christ lives in us by FAITH.
All sins and works ended on the cross when the law ended.
GAL 2 “19 “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. “
God DOES NOT see sins in the believer.
Jesus ALREADY DIED to REMOVE all SINS and make us SINLESS.
God DOES NOT see the WORKS of believers because Christ ALREADY DID ALL the WORKS !!!
God ONLY SEES the Faith in Christ to make us perfect. He does not look at our works because they are imperfect.
We received the REWARD of CHRIST’s WORKS.
We received His Righteousness.
We received EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING and lack nothing!
EPH 1 “3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”
1 COR 1 “5 For in him you have been enriched in every way…you do not lack any spiritual gift….30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption”
The only command today is to BELIEVE in Jesus.
The unbeliever is unrighteous.
The believer is forgiven all sins, righteous, holy and perfect.
There is no other command to do works for believers.
Therefore there is no judgment of works or rewards.
The believer is already PERFECT in Christ.
COL 2 “9 For in Christ all the FULLNESS of GOD lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to FULLNESS.”
