HEB 10 ” 9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all….14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are made holy…sins have been forgiven”
The law could not make anyone perfect because it demanded perfect works from imperfect people.
Therefore God set aside the law by the blood of Jesus that made us perfect and holy forever, forgiving all our sins.
The entire ten commandments, 603 commands, and ALL works ended on the cross, to save us by GRACE through faith in Jesus by His death and resurrection
EPH 2 ” 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus……8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. …..15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations…through the cross”
In the bible, the works commanded are always in the law.
But Grace is always the finished work of Jesus.
Jesus died on the cross to remove all commands of works.
We are righteous by faith in Jesus by grace and not our works.
We are sinless, holy, perfect, forgiven all sins by faith in Jesus because the Grace of God ended the law and all works/commands!
Grace has no works because the law ended.
Grace only has faith in the finished work of Jesus.
