The Cross ended all works of men

Hebrews 10 ” Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all….14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are made holy.”

Jesus Christ came to DO the will of God.

The will of God was not the Law.

The will of God was not the Ten Commandments.

The will of God was not tithing or repentance or confession or doing any works.

The will of God was Jesus Christ dying on the cross.

His death on the cross removed the first covenant.

The law was the covenant of works. All of God’s commands of works was in the Law.

The Cross ended the Law completely.

Jesus made us perfect and sinless on the cross by removing the law.

The believer has been forgiven all sins and is perfect and holy in Christ.

There are no commands to the believer because we are not under the law anymore.

The works of men before the cross are irrelevant because Jesus died on the cross to make us righteous.

The works of men after the cross are irrelevant because Jesus died on the cross to make believers righteous.

If you do not believe in Jesus then your works cannot save you. You need to believe in Christ crucified to be forgiven all sins and righteous without works.

If you believe in Jesus and not in your works, then God does not command any works to you because Jesus did all the work to make you righteous.
