Many Christians are sad on this day because they look at their sins and see the death of Jesus as a sad event.

But we should be celebrating because there’s joy in heaven!

Hebrews 12 “18 You have not come to darkness, gloom….
22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, 24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.”

There is joy because what the blood of Jesus says!
The blood of Jesus says that we are FORGIVEN.

EPH 1 “7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us.”

The blood of Jesus says that we are righteous/justified.

ROM 5 “9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!”

The blood of Jesus says that we are perfect and holy.

HEB 10 ’10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all…..14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever”

For those who don’t believe, this Friday is bad because they will die for their sins.

But this Friday is Good for believers because Jesus died and rose again to forgive our sins!
Everyone who believes in Jesus is forgiven ALL sins, made righteous/holy/perfect by His finished work and not our deeds.
