Righteous by faith like Abraham

We are Righteous by faith in Jesus without works
just like Abraham before the law existed:

From the time of Adam to Moses, there was sin but no law.

Romans 5 “13 To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law. 14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.”

Abraham lived in that time before the law existed and he became righteous by faith without any works.

Romans 4 “13 It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith”

Jesus came in the last days of the law.

Galatians 4 “4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, “
Hebrews 1 “in these last days He has spoken to us through his Son”
Hebrews 8 “13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.”

The law was made obsolete on the cross and it disappeared in AD70. The law does not exist today.

Christ ended the law so that righteousness is by faith alone!

Romans 10 “4 Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.”

This is why it is by guaranteed GRACE and not works!

Romans 4 “16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed “

Therefore we are righteous by faith just like Abraham without any works because the law does not exist !!

Romans 4 “2 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God. 3 What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. 4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. ….
23 The words “it was credited to him” were written not for Abraham alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”

It is because Jesus died for our sins and removed the law, He rose from the dead to make us righteous freely by grace through faith alone, and not works!
