If anyone believes in Jesus they are a New Creation.
2 Corinthians 5 “if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
But what does that mean?
The New Creation means that your old things passed away by faith in Jesus Christ.
We were sinners in Adam, the old creation.
The old things was the sins that have passed away!
All things are new for the believer.
You have no sin and you have eternal life.
Why is that ?
It is because God took away all our sins on the Cross, reconciling us to Himself through Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection.
Therefore when a person believes in Jesus, we are reconciled back to God.
We receive the righteousness of God by faith in Jesus.
What is righteousness? It is sinless perfection.
Everyone who rejects Christ is dead in sin (unbelief) and will be condemned.
But everyone who believes in Christ is perfectly sinless, and as righteous as God, with eternal life in Christ.
This is because Jesus became sin on the cross and we became sinless in His resurrection.
