Jesus came to forgive all sins!
Jesus came in the last days of the Law of Israel to purify us of all sins!
Hebrews 1 “in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”
Hebrews 9 “he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.”
Jesus died on the cross to end the old covenant (law) and make the new covenant of GRACE.
Hebrews 8:13 “13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.”
The law commanded people to be perfect by works but it was useless because no man can be righteous by works!
Hebrews 7 “18 The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless 19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.”
This New Covenant has made us perfect and holy by His blood and not our works!
Hebrews 10 “9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all….. 14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are made holy.”
Jesus removed the law to bring Grace to make us PERFECT and HOLY by His death on the cross.
He forgave ALL our sins on the cross to make us sinless by faith.
Hebrews 10:18 “And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.”
Jesus died to make us sinless and perfect.
It is finished.
Acts 10:43 “everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.””
Colossians 2 “9 For in Christ all the perfection of God lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to perfection…..13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins”
