Jesus ended ALL commandments to give Righteousness to all who believe!

The Bible is all about the Law.

The old covenant was about righteousness attained by obeying the Law (Deut 6:5)

Israel failed and were judged in exile.

God made a New Covenant forgiving all past sins and then giving them a 2nd chance to obey the law.

Jesus forgave the sins of all believers who came to the baptism of John.

Jesus taught that one must obey His commands to be righteous.

– Repent from sins

– Take baptism in Jesus’ name

– Sell all possessions to the poor

– Love neighbor and enemy to be PERFECT like God

– Stop sinning in heart, word, deed. Do not even get angry or lust after others in the heart.

– Cut off eye and hand that sins

– Forsake jobs, lands, families

– Forgive others 7 times 70

– Carry the cross and die as martyrs like Jesus.

– BE PERFECT to be righteous.

– All of this was to FULFILL the Law of Righteousness.

– All of this was only possible by receiving the Holy Spirit.

Jesus commanded this to fulfill the law because the law still existed until AD70.

The ceremonial law ended on the cross and that is why Gentiles were allowed to join the new covenant by faith in Jesus.

But as Paul preached, that they had to follow Jesus and love others to fulfill the law (Romans 13, Galatians 5-6).

Paul commanded that they had to stop sinning to be saved (Romans 8:13) to fulfill the law.

James said that they had to love others to be saved otherwise they would be judged as guilty of breaking the entire law (James 2)

If they sinned, then they had to confess sins and repent to be forgiven and saved all over again (1 John 1:9, James 5)

All of these commandments were to FULFILL the Law…to be Righteous by obeying the commands of Jesus.

But nobody could do it….and therefore…

The Law ENDED in AD70 (Hebrews 8:13)

All commandments ENDED in AD70.

There is no repentance.

There is no baptism.

There is no following Jesus.

There is no loving others.

There is no carrying the cross.

There is no doing anything !!

It is because the law does not exist.

Jesus removed the law.

Jesus removed all sins.

Jesus removed ALL works.

Jesus made the entire world righteous without works.

Simply believe to receive this righteousness by faith without any works (Romans 4:4-6)

Simply believe in Jesus to receive eternal life.

Those who don’t believe will perish.
