The Bible: from Law to Grace, from Adam to Jesus.

People read the Bible trying to find all the good things to do and wrong things to avoid.

But the bible is not a rule-book, not a book about righteous deeds to do.

The Bible is about Jesus.

John 5 ” These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, “

John 20 “31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”

The bible is how Jesus overcame the sin of Adam.

Adam sinned and brought death to the world.

Jesus did not sin but died on the cross and rose to bring righteousness to the world.

1 Corinthians 15 “21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. “

The bible is how Jesus removed the law to bring grace.

John 1:17 “17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

Romans 10 ” Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.”

The only works commanded by God were in the law of Israel to show them that they cannot be righteous.

Jesus became the curse of the law on the cross and rose from the dead to give us the blessing of grace.

Galatians 3 “13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.”

Jesus ended the law on the cross.

The law and all commandments ended on the cross.

The law was removed in AD70 when Israel and the nation was destroyed with their temple.

Hebrews 8:13 “ By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.”

Today we worship God in Spirit and Grace and not in the works of the law.

John 4 “19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” 21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.””

The law does not even exist.

The New Testament describes the 40 years of transition between the Law and Grace from the Cross to AD70.

Jesus is the fulfillment of the Bible.

Jesus removed sin to make us righteous without works!

Jesus removed the law to give us grace upon grace!

Jesus removed the curse to give us every blessing freely!

We who believe in Jesus are righteous and sinless because Jesus lives in us.

The risen and ascended Jesus lives in us.

We are not carrying the cross like Jesus.

We are not suffering curses like Jesus on the cross.

We are seated in heavenly places with Jesus with every blessing as Sons of God !

Ephesians 1-2 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. …. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”

We are sinless and righteous Sons of God.

We are perfect and holy.

There is no sin anymore!

There is no more law!

Our old flesh died on the cross.

CHRIST lives in us by His faithfulness and His righteousness!

AS JESUS is SO ARE WE in this world !!
