Jesus is the Word, the Faith and the Grace!

Paul says that his salvation was the example to the world.

1 Timothy 1 “12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. 13 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. 14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

Previously Paul could see with his own eyes but was spiritually blinded by the Law with the veil covering his eyes.

Paul was spiritually blind, following the Law and killing Christians until Jesus appeared to him and made him see the LIGHT of God, the glory of God in the face of Jesus. (see 2 Corinthians 3-4)

Paul became physically blinded but saw Jesus.

Jesus loved Paul.

Jesus gave Paul GRACE

Jesus is the WORD of God

Jesus gave Paul FAITH

You see that the Love, Faith, Grace and Faith are ALL in Jesus.

Jesus gave Paul EVERYTHING !!

Jesus gave Paul Himself !!

Paul did not choose Jesus.

Jesus chose Paul !!

THIS IS GRACE, that Paul describes here:

Romans 11 “I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. Don’t you know what Scripture says in the passage about Elijah—how he appealed to God against Israel: 3 “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me”? 4 And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5 So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. 6 And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.”

Most Israelites rejected Jesus. They were blinded by the Law.

But Paul who was the most righteous person under the Law (Philippians 3) was CHOSEN by GRACE and not works !!

You see this is the GRACE of God….

Jesus chooses us by GRACE.

Jesus gives us faith!

Jesus loves us

Jesus gives us grace!

Jesus does everything…we did nothing….

Jesus gave us everything!

JESUS is our Righteousness…Jesus made us sinless because He gave us Himself !! We were dead but Jesus gave HIMSELF and HIS LIFE to us! Jesus gave His faith and His grace to us!

Galatians 2 “a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ……19 “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

Jesus provides us His Faith.

2 Timothy 2 “if we are faithless,

he remains faithful,

for he cannot disown himself.”

Faith is a gift of Jesus given by grace.

He gives us Faith that keeps us blameless and sinless.

It is His Faithfulness and not our faithfulness.

We are faithless but He is faithful.

1 Thessalonians 5 “23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.”

Jesus is our Faith. His obedience has been imputed to us.

Even if we struggle in faith, God has given the faith of Jesus to us.

As Jesus is so are we.

As Jesus is righteous so are we.

As Jesus is faithful so are we.
