Chosen, saved, and preserved by the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

We didn’t choose Jesus. The Father chose us by His grace, predestining us by grace.
Jesus saves us by grace. Jesus keeps us saved by grace and we will never be lost!!

If it is based on our will to choose Jesus and endure in faith then we can lose salvation when we fail in our faith.
The only reason our salvation is guaranteed is because we are chosen by grace, saved by grace, kept by grace!

It is completely God’s faithful work and not our efforts.

John 6 “37 All those the Father GIVES me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has GIVEN me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.””

Jesus says that the Father has to give certain people to Jesus.

Those who are chosen by the Father, will surely be saved by Jesus.

The will of God is that Jesus will never lose those who are chosen by the Father!

Jesus will keep us saved and raise us on the last day!

Why does God have to do the work of choosing us?

It’s because God cannot rely on man’s free will.
It is because all men are spiritually dead.
Without the Holy Spirit, a person cannot even understand the Gospel of the Grace of Jesus that salvation is a free gift !!

It’s impossible for the human mind to accept a free gift from the Almighty God apart from the Holy Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 2 “2 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, SO THAT we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. “

We cannot understand the free gift of God’s grace unless we receive the Holy Spirit of God, the Spirit of Jesus. The human mind cannot understand grace in our own wisdom.

The person without the Holy Spirit considers the grace of God as foolishness. Everything in this world is NOT free and that is the opposite of the Spirit of God.

The cross and grace of Jesus is foolishness to the human mind.

This is why God has to predestine us before birth, choosing us and giving us the Holy Spirit, making us a new creation, giving us the grace to even come to Jesus by faith to be saved.

Is God random in choosing people? Not at all.
He chooses people who are weak so that they may not boast in themselves but in Jesus who is our Righteousness!
He chooses people who are nothing so that it is by GRACE they are saved and that no man will boast in themselves!

God intentionally chooses the weak to nullify the strong! This is why God chooses people for salvation. This is why God predestines people for salvation, choosing us!

1 Corinthians 1 “26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were CALLED. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God CHOSE the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God CHOSE the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God CHOSE the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to NULLIFY the things that are, 29 so that no one may BOAST before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the LORD.”

God does not allow men to boast at all, even nobody can boast in their own “faith”.

This is why God chooses people and gives them the gift of faith to believe in Jesus.

This is why the believer has nothing to boast in ourselves. We realize that it has nothing to do with our human wisdom, efforts, faithfulness, etc…

We were spiritually dead but God gave us His Spirit of grace.
We don’t boast in our faith because it is God who chose us and gave us His faith.
We don’t boast in our works because Jesus did all the work on the cross for us.

This is why we boast in Jesus Christ, our Righteousness, Holiness, Sinless perfection, and wisdom from God.
