Jesus made us born-again by His grace and not our decision

Jesus tells us: we are saved by being born-again.

Jesus tells people that they must be born-again to be saved.

But does anyone control their own birth?

John 3 “Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

We did not choose our biological parents. We did not choose the time of our birth.

So then how can we decide that when to be born again in the spirit?

The fleshly birth process is the responsibility of the parents.

In the same way, the spiritual birth is the responsibility of God our Father.

He opens our eyes to Jesus so that we believe and gives us His Spirit to make us born-again.

It is the Holy Spirit who gives us new birth, because the unbeliever is dead in sin.

God’s life has to come from above and enter their hearts to make them a new creation in Christ Jesus.

The Spirit of God blows where He pleases – according to His good pleasure.

He decides who is born-again. God decides in His grace and mercy to show compassion on a person by giving him a new heart that believes in Jesus.

It is not based on human will or man’s decision but the Grace of God in His will.

John 3 “The true light (JESUS) that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”

God’s will is for all men to be saved.

Yes, He wants the entire world to be saved by faith in Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 4 “This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. 10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe”

But did that happen? Will all people go to heaven?

We know that nobody seeks God, not even one. If God does not intervene, then all people go to condemnation. Therefore, God has to draw them to Jesus and give them the grace to even believe!

The truth is that not everyone is saved because not everyone believes in Jesus.

Only those who God gives new-birth by grace are saved by faith in Jesus Christ.

We are saved by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He did all the work.

We are born-again because of His work! He died to remove our sins. He made us righteous by His resurrection!

1 Peter 1 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,”

Everyone who believes in Jesus is forgiven all sins, made righteous and perfect without works!

John 3 “16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
