This world is not perfect : it has sin, death, suffering, ups and downs. Therefore some people have stopped believing in God. They wonder how can a good God allow suffering to take place?
The truth is that God is not the author of suffering and death.
This world has been corrupted by the sin of men because God gave man free will.
This world is man’s kingdom and that is why it has so much of ups and downs – just like the imperfection of the human race and all of creation.
But God is greater than man. God is infinitely more loving than man.
The kingdom of God is coming to the world. His love was fully displayed through the King of that kingdom – His Son Jesus Christ.
When Jesus came to the earth, He revealed a foretaste of God’s kingdom that is coming. He healed the sick, raised the dead, to show God’s power and glory that will be fully revealed when Jesus returns back to the earth.
But how do we get to be part of God’s perfect kingdom?
God revealed His love through His Son Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead to make us righteous.
Jesus Christ is God who came in the flesh, to make a new creation.
This current creation is dead in sin. Therefore Jesus died with us on the cross.
All of sin died on the cross.
All of disease, pain, suffering, sadness, depression, loneliness, frustration, died on the cross with Jesus.
Isaiah 53:5 “he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.”
Galatians 3 “13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.”
Jesus who never sinned became a curse and sin on the cross to make us righteous as God if we believe in Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5 “God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made Jesus who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Jesus we might become the righteousness of God.”
Jesus suffered poverty and death on the cross to make us rich and live forever in the new world to come, if we believe.
2 Corinthians 8 “9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”
Death came through man’s sin. But Christ’s obedience on the cross makes us righteous.
Romans 5 “17 For if, by the trespass of the one man (Adam), death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! 18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man (Adam) the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man (Jesus) the many will be made righteous.”
Jesus and God did not bring sickness and death to the world. Jesus will destroy death and He has given us proof through His resurrection!
1 Corinthians 15 “20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.”
Jesus experienced all of the world’s evil on the cross.
All the world died with Jesus on the cross.
Jesus then rose again making the entire world sinless, perfect, righteous, glorious.
He will come again to make all things new!
He will make a new world where righteousness dwells, where only believers live, where sin does not exist, where sadness, death and pain does not happen anymore because GOD will be in full control of the world and Jesus is ruling on the throne with His Father and all believers!
2 Peter 3 “…you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.”
Revelation 21-22 “Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”…..Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.”
Everyone who believes in Jesus is forgiven all sin, and is as righteous as God.
As believers, we have been made righteous and Jesus will return to manifest His glory in each and every one of us! We will receive immortal bodies with the same glory of Jesus and God !
Galatians 5:5 “5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. “
Philippians 3 “our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”
1 John 3 “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.”
Colossians 3 “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
This is why Jesus Christ is the TRUE GOD – the God of love and perfect glory. He loves us so much that He died for the entire world. He carried all the sin, suffering, death on His body on the cross. He overcame the world and the entire world died with Him on the cross.
He rose from the dead and will reveal Himself as the TRUE GOD of LOVE and GLORY to all those who are eagerly waiting for Him.
All who don’t believe in Jesus will perish in the day of judgment.
All who believe in Jesus will live in the new world.
He will make a new world filled with perfect love, righteousness, good health, happiness, joy, where we will see God face-face forever.
