Jesus died because the Law cannot justify or sanctify anyone!

Most Christians agree that we are justified by faith but they think that they are sanctified by works of the law (ten commandments).

But that is not true! How can I say that? Let us look at Israel : what did they benefit from keeping the Law? Did it save them? Did it sanctify them? The answer is NO and NO.

Romans 3 “There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. “

The Jews had the Law and tried to obey the Ten Commandments but in God’s eyes, there was NO DIFFERENCE between the Jews and the pagan world who didn’t even know the law!

Just think of that statement – there is no difference between the pagan nations who worshipped idols and Israel who kept the law for 1500 years!

This shows that the Law has absolutely ZERO use in justifying anyone!

It is because nobody can be justified by the law! Therefore nobody can be sanctified by the law and the law is useless for anyone today, just as it was useless for Israel.

Galatians 2 “16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified….21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!””

We are justified by the GRACE of God through Faith in Jesus who died on the cross for our sin and rose for our justification!

Romans 4 “God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”

The Law has nothing to do with a believer! Our salvation is guaranteed by grace.

The Law makes faith worthless!

Romans 4 “14 For if those who depend on the law are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is worthless, 15 because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed”

The Law is not of faith and is the opposite of Grace!

Galatians 3 “The law is not of faith”

The reason Jesus came was because the Law of Moses did nothing for Israel !!!

Jesus came to bring GRACE. The truth is only in GRACE through Faith.

John 1:17 “17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

The Cross and Resurrection of Jesus Christ has made the believer complete!

There is no need for any works!

Jesus did all the work for us on the cross. His death removed all our sins. His resurrection made us 100% righteous as God Himself!

We are already justified, sanctified, sinless, perfect, complete by faith in Jesus Christ !!

1 Corinthians 6 “you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”

Acts 26 ” they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’”

Hebrews 10 “9 Then Jesus said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first covenant (LAW) to establish the second (GRACE). 10 And by that will, we have been made holy (SANCTIFIED) through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

Colossians 2 “9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.”

Do you want more proof that the Law is useless today?

Israel was under the Law for 1500 years and held on to the 10 commandments and other laws and finally it was destroyed in AD70. The Law does not even exist today!

Hebrews 8:13 “By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.”

There is no commandment of law for anyone today!!
There is no commandment of works from God.
Jesus died on the cross to end all commandments of works and laws!

Today all people can come and receive eternal life / justification / sanctification / sinless perfection / righteousness / salvation by simple faith in Jesus without doing a single work!

Everyone who believes in Jesus is righteous and perfectly sinless and sanctified freely by grace and not by works!
