Man lives on the earth for 70-100 years and dies but God is immortal.
Man’s life on earth and his works are nothing compared to God’s immortality and perfection!
Man is a sinner God is righteous, holy, and perfect.
Man is a creation, but God is the creator!
Man’s works are nothing compared to the glory and righteousness of God Almighty.
Man’s works and his life is like a vapor compared to the vast ocean of God’s glory.
The glory of God was revealed in Jesus Christ, the sinless God who died on the cross and rose from the dead to live forever.
Man’s works are nothing but garbage compared to the glory of Jesus Christ.
(Note: Paul was the most righteous man under the law but he said that his works were garbage compared to the Righteousness of God that he freely received by faith in Jesus without doing any works!)
Man’s works are like comparing an “ant” to the Mount Everest of God’s glory.
Man cannot remove sin no matter how long he lives.
Therefore God had to do it ! Only the work of God through Jesus can remove sin!
Romans 3 ““There is no one righteous, not even one;…no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by works….21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.”
Jesus is God who never sinned but He became sin, He carried the sins of the world on the cross. He destroyed sin by His death. He ended all sin on the cross. And then He rose from the dead because He is God almighty! He rose to give us God’s Righteousness to all who believe!
2 Corinthians 5 “21 God made Jesus who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Jesus we might become the righteousness of God.”
