In the beginning, God created Adam in His image, as a Son of God.

Luke 3:38 “Adam, the son of God”

But Adam sinned and mankind was put under the angels.

Psalm 8 “You have made them (mankind) a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.”

The angels are the servants of God who do what God commands.

Hebrews 1:7 “In speaking of the angels he says, “He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire.”

After the fall of Adam, the angels gave the Law that showed mankind that nobody was righteous and put humanity under the prison of sin. The angels were guardians until Jesus came to set mankind free from sin.

Galatians 3-4 ” The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator….²² But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. ²³ Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. ²⁴ So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. ²⁵ Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian….² The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. ³ So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces of the world. ⁴ But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, ⁵ to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. ⁶ Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” ⁷ So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.”

The world was under the guardian-ship of angels until Jesus died on the cross to take away the law and forgive all sins. He was born under law and died to end the law.

We are not under guardians but now we are sons of God by faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus is God who became one with mankind partaking in our death and sin on the cross

He abolished the law and removed all sin and death

Now we are raised with Jesus seated in heaven as sons 

God has given us all His glory as sons 

Angels are not sons! They don’t have spirit of the Father.

Hebrews 1 “³ The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. ⁴ So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. ⁵ For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father”?”

Jesus is greater than the angels because He is the Son of God.

We are also greater than the angels because we are children of God, seated with Christ in heaven.

Hebrews 2 “¹⁰ In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. ¹¹ Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. “

Ephesians 2 “⁴ But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, ⁵ made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. ⁶ And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,”

The angels are servants who serve us believers!

Hebrews 1:14 “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”

But we believers will judge the world and the angels.

1 Corinthians 6 “² Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world?… ³ Do you not know that we will judge angels?”

We believers will judge because we are seated on the throne with Jesus and the Father in heaven as His Sons. 

God has given us His glory making us his sons having equal status as Jesus and the Father.

God gave his glory to Jesus, who gave His glory to us because He died on the cross to take away our shame and give us His glory through His resurrection.

The Father and Son are one with us, and their glory has been given to us believers.

This is the unimaginable love of god that He would die on the cross and rise to give us all His glory and righteousness!! This is the gospel !!

Jesus died with all humanity and took away all sin making us sinless and perfectly righteous in His resurrection raising us up as Sons of God higher than the angels.

God is love and He wants to share His glory with His children 

He died on the cross to give us everything!!!

Everyone who believes in Jesus receives the forgiveness of sins and becomes the Sons of God, freely by grace without works.
