1 Peter 1 “3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,”

Man cannot do anything to be saved because he is dead in sin.

A dead man cannot repent or do good works or confess sins to be saved.

It’s because the dead man has no life.

This is why Jesus said that a man must be born again to be saved (John 3)

This is why Jesus died on the cross to experience our death.

But He rose from the dead because He never sinned.

We were raised with Christ, made alive, forgiven all sin, and now we are sinless.

Colossians 2 “you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 13 When you were dead in your sins, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,”

The believer is a new creation in Christ.

We died and were raised with Christ as sinless, righteous creations.

2 Corinthians 5 “17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 1”

Jesus became sin in our death on the cross, and we were raised sinless and righteous in Christ’s resurrection.

We received it by faith and not our works!

We receive it by grace and not our works!

We received it by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ !!
