When you believed in Jesus Christ, He came to live in you through His Spirit.

God poured out His love through His Spirit in you!

Romans 5 “God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

We know that God has several attributes – He is holy, wise, righteous, perfect, just, omnipresent, omniscient, etc. But the one thing that describes God, is LOVE.

1 John 4 “GOD IS LOVE”

If we want to know what is love, we look to Jesus who is the only revelation of God.

Israel knew the law but Jesus revealed the heart and essence of God, HIS GRACE and LOVE!

John 1 “¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.”

John 14:9 “Jesus said….Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.”

Jesus Christ showed us LOVE. He took the entire world’s sins on the cross away from us to give us God’s Righteousness and Glory. The most selfless and purest love known to mankind.

God is LOVE and He gave Himself to us. The greatest love is to give oneself for others. This is what Jesus did. He loved us so much that He died to give us HIMSELF.

1 John 3:16 “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us”

When we believed in Jesus, He came to live in us, and made us ALIVE.

Eternal life is God living in us. It is HIS unfailing and never-ending LOVE living in us.

1 Corinthians 13 “Love never fails”

Psalm 136 “His love endures forever”

God is immortal because He is Love and His Love never ends.

This is why the believer has eternal life, because God’s love for us and IN us never ends.

He made us alive when His love came into us and will never leave or forsake us!

Hebrew 13:15 “Never will I leave you..Never will I forsake you”

Jesus cannot die and cannot sin, and since Jesus lives in us, we cannot die and cannot sin.

His love in us cannot die!

Romans 6 “⁸ Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. ⁹ For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.”

The believer is embraced by the love of God and Jesus and that is why we will never perish, nothing can snatch us out of LOVE.

John 10 “²⁸ I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. ²⁹ My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one.””

His love is irreversible and everlasting.

Everything good in this life will come to an end. But God’s love in us will never end.

This life has ups and downs but nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ who LIVES in us !! Life on earth is temporal but God’s love for you in Christ is eternal and never ends!

Romans 8 “³⁸ For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, ³⁹ neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

God’s love is immortal because Jesus died and rose again to live forever in you!

His love is the new creation of Christ in me.

Eternal life is not merely immortality.

Eternal life is God’s love in me that never dies. His love for me never ends!

It’s not based on worldly circumstances 

It’s based on the unchanging cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The cross and resurrection of Jesus is the love of God and this cannot be taken back or changed. Everything in this world is God’s old creation that passes away. But the Cross and resurrection of Jesus is the LOVE of God that will never pass away!

God loved us before we did anything good.

Romans 5 “⁶ You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. ⁷ Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. ⁸ But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

His love did not begin when you were born but before the world began!

Ephesians 1 “⁴ For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love ⁵ he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will”

This is why Jesus Christ’s death was planned before the world was created.

Revelation 13:8 “the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.”

His love is irreversible and immortal. It has no beginning or end.

Gods love is immortality. Eternal life is not energy or power 

It’s love that never fails. It’s God. It’s Jesus. It’s His Spirit in the believer! 

God’s Love is His very essence and being.

God loves you and His love will never end.

John 3:16 “¹⁶ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
