Do you know that Jesus has put an end to all sin?
Hebrews 9:26 “… he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.”
On the cross, Jesus died to do away with sins at the end of the Age.
The Old Covenant Age ended on the Cross when Jesus died to make a New Covenant.
Hebrews 9:15 “For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.”
Jesus died on the cross for the sins committed under the Old Covenant (Law).
Under the Law, the Jews had broken the 10 commandments (James 2:10, Galatians 3:10, Romans 3:9-20).
The Gentiles were outside the Law, having no connection with God, dead spiritually thanks to Adam’s sin. (Ephesians 2:11-13, Colossians 2:13-14)
The entire world was under the condemnation of sin in the age of the Old Covenant.
Jesus died on the cross to end all sin and make a New Covenant where we are perfect by His blood.
Jesus took away all sins on the cross by removing the Law.
Hebrews 10 “9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first (Old Covenant) to establish the second (New Covenant). 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all…. 14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are made holy.”
Everyone who believes in Jesus receives the forgiveness of sins.
