Luke 5 “¹⁸ Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. ¹⁹ When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.²⁰ When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”

In Israel, there was a paralyzed man who needed healing. The people brought this man to Jesus and he was forgiven all sin.

Why is that? It is because Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead.

Acts 10 “³⁹ “We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, ⁴⁰ but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. ⁴¹ He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. ⁴² He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. ⁴³ All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.””

Everyone who believes in Jesus is forgiven all sin.
