The only way sins can be forgiven is by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Why is that?

It is because sin brought death, and therefore sin can only paid for by the death of a living being. The life is found in the blood, therefore blood must be shed to forgive sins.

Leviticus 17 “¹¹ For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life. “

Hebrews 9 “²² In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.”

But the death of animals cannot forgive our sins or give us salvation!

The Old Covenant animal sacrifices could only atone for sins.

The word Atonement means “a covering of sins” and not the “taking away of sins”.

The death of animals covered sins but never took them away.

This is because a man’s sins must be paid by man’s death.

But this cannot be any regular man’s death.

It’s because a sinner’s death cannot take away the sins of that same sinner.

Only the man who never sinned, can die to take away the sins of the world forever.

Therefore God Himself had to become a man and shed His blood to save us!

God Himself to give up His own eternal life to us!

Jesus is God who came in the flesh, the Son of God who came in the body of man.

The eternal life of God is in the body and blood of Jesus.

Jesus shed His blood on the cross to forgive all our sins and then rose from the dead giving us His eternal life to all who believe!

Hebrews 10 “The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. ² Otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. ³ But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins. ⁴ It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins…..⁸ First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. ⁹ Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. ¹⁰ And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all..…¹⁴ For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are holy.”

Matthew 27 “²⁷ Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. ²⁸ This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

Ephesians 1 “his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. ⁷ In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace ⁸ that he lavished on us.”

Everyone who believes in Jesus Christ, is forgiven ALL sins by His blood and resurrection!
