No amount of good works can save anyone.

No amount of bad works can lose salvation.

We are saved by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone.

We are saved by faith in Jesus without doing any works!

But people will say that you need to repent from sin, confess sins, obey the commandments to be saved. They will say that faith needs works to be saved (James 2).

But they say that because of not understanding one thing.

Your works and repentance is nothing compared to the death and resurrection of the Son of God who never sinned !

If you trust in works, then God will be obliged to judge you based on those works. You will need to be perfect according to works to be saved (James 2:10, Galatians 3:10).

So then the true gospel is that believe in Jesus and don’t trust in your works.

The only work that save us is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Romans 4 “⁴ Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. ⁵ However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. … God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. ²⁵ He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”

Everyone who believes in Jesus, without trusting in their works, is forgiven all sins, made righteous freely by grace!
