People are not called to give our life to Christ.
All people are spiritually dead – they need life – they cannot give life to God who is the author of life.
Jesus Christ IS the life.
But how can Christ who is life, come and give us life?
He had to take away our death on the cross. He died for our sins and forgave all our sins.
When Jesus rose from the dead, He made us alive in Him.
Colossians 2 “13 When you were dead in your sins, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,”
When you believe in Jesus, you are made alive because all your sins are forgiven.
You were dead in sin but now alive in Christ.
Christ Himself is your life. He is the eternal life. He is THE LIFE.
He is indestructible life, He is sinless perfection, He is righteousness of God, He is holiness, He is wisdom, He is sanctification, He is purity and glory. And in Him we have everything because He is our life.
He gave us HIS LIFE TO us…He IS our LIFE.
Colossians 3 “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
This world has many distractions, but let us set our minds on Jesus who IS our LIFE. See how much He loves us and has given us everything spiritually!
He alone can satisfy us and give us peace in this uncertain world until He returns.
When He appears, we will also appear with Him in GLORY.
