How much does Jesus love you?
Romans 5 “6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
What did Jesus suffer for us?
Matthew 13 “56 Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” 57 And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.”
John 1 “11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. “
Mark 14 “10 Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them.”
Mark 14 “27 “You will all fall away,” Jesus told them, “for it is written:“‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’”
Mark 14 “65 Then some began to spit at him; they blindfolded him, struck him with their fists, and said, “Prophesy!” And the guards took him and beat him.”
Matthew 27 “26 Then Pilate released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.”
Jesus Christ was beaten, spat upon, humiliated, abandoned and betrayed by His disciples, rejected by His countrymen, dishonored by His family, pierced and crucified to die on the cross all so that He can forgive our sins!
Romans 4 “God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”
This is God’s great love for us: Everyone who believes in Jesus is forgiven all sin (Acts 10:43)
