Grace and Law cannot co-exist today

Although I teach Grace, my beliefs differs from other Christians.

It is because I teach that the Law does not exist.

But most believers and preachers think that the Law still exists in the world. There’s a big problem with that.

If the Law exists, then the believer must fulfill the law by obeying the command of the law to love one another (Romans 13:8-10, James 2:8-11, Romans 8:4, Galatians 5:13-15, John 13:34-35)

If we must fulfill the law, then we can sin by breaking the law.

If believers sin, then we’re law-breakers and will be judged and lose salvation (Romans 8:13, James 2:8-11, Galatians 5:13-15, 6:7-10, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8, 2 Peter 3:14-18).

This was only true during the 1st Century because the Apostles lived in the last generation of the law, during the period of transition between the Law and Grace (40 years from AD30 to AD70) when believers were required to fulfill the law by the power of the Holy Spirit and if they rebelled, then they would lose salvation.

But today we cannot lose salvation because the Law was removed in the 1st Century soon after the epistle of Hebrews was written !

Hebrews 8:13 “By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.”

The law was the old covenant (ten commandments – fulfilled in the command to love your neighbor)

It was destroyed when all things were fulfilled at the destruction of the temple in Israel.

Matthew 5 “18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. “

All things were fulfilled at the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70 and not the end of the world.

Luke 21 “20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. “

The world did not end in AD70 because Israel did not accept Christ. This is why Jesus did not return in the 1st Century

The Law ended on the cross and was removed in AD70.

After the Law ended, there is no need for believers to fulfill the law!

God opened the gospel to the entire world after the law ended in AD70.

Without the Law, there is no sin.

Romans 4:15 “The law brings wrath. Where there is no law, there is no sin”

The wrath of the Law fell upon Israel in AD70 and the Law was fulfilled and removed. Today there is no law.

There is no sin of breaking any law…because how can you break the law if it does not exist ??

Today the entire world has been set free from the law and sin.

Jesus took away the sins of the world.

The only thing we need to do is believe in Jesus to receive eternal life.

The only sin that exists today is unbelief.

Therefore the believer CANNOT sin because sin does not exist without the law.

The only time believers could lose salvation was before AD70 while the law existed.

After AD70 the law does not exist and therefore believers cannot lose salvation because sin does not exist !

Grace and Law cannot co-exist.

The Law was the old covenant. The Cross is the New Covenant.

It’s impossible for the New and Old Covenants to co-exist for 2000 years. Otherwise the cross is of no value! This is why the Law does not exist today. God made a New Covenant of Grace to remove the Old Covenant Law (ten commandments)

How do people come to Christ if the law does not exist? How do unbelievers become convicted of sin if there is no law? How do they know what is sin if there’s no law?

The Gentile world does not need to know the law to be conscious of sins. We all have a conscience that knows we are separate from God by sin (Romans 2). We know that there’s something missing in our spirit – that connection to God and eternity. This conscience has come from the fall of Adam who knew right and wrong and died spiritually. We inherited that conscience and spiritual death from our forefather Adam. Most people don’t know the Law or have anything to do with Israel. But they know that they are not perfect and know that God will judge them. In my own case, I barely went to Church and did not even know what the law was. But when I heard that Jesus forgave my sins, I believed and was saved in 2002. I didn’t need to know the law to be led to Jesus. There are so many people who believe in Jesus without knowing anything about Israel or their ancient outdated law. After I got saved and knew the law, my Christian life became miserable until I was set free by knowing the finished work of Jesus many years later. There really is no place for the law anywhere in the world or the Church today, it just causes so much un-necessary problems.
