The New Creation in Christ

The Old Creation was Adam who sinned and brought death to all humanity.

But Christ is the New creation. He died for the entire world and the world died with Jesus.

But Jesus rose again as the firstfruit of the New Creation.

If anyone believes in Jesus they are a New Creation. But what does that mean?

2 Corinthians 5 “14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

The New Creation means that your old things passed away.

The old things was the sins that have passed away!

All things are new for the believer. You have no sin and you have eternal life.

Why is that ?

It is because God is not counting the sins of the world anymore.

He took away all the sins of the world on the Cross, reconciling the entire world to Himself through Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection.

God loves the world so much and He has removed the sins of the world !! He has brought reconciliation by removing the cause of death.

Therefore when a person believes in Jesus, we are reconciled back to God.

We receive the righteousness of God by faith in Jesus.

What is righteousness? It is sinless perfection.

Everyone who rejects Christ is dead in sin (unbelief) and will be condemned.

But everyone who believes in Christ is perfectly sinless, and as righteous as God, with eternal life in Christ.

This is because Jesus became sin on the cross and we became sinless in His resurrection.
