You quote MATT 5:17-19 saying that you are still obeying the law according to Jesus.

Do you think that you are righteous by avoiding murder? Jesus said to avoid anger to be righteous by the law (MATT 5:21-26).

Do you think that you are righteous by avoiding adultery? Jesus said to avoid looking with lust to be righteous (MATT 5:27-30)

Do you think that you are righteous by loving your neighbor? Jesus said to love your enemies as well (MATT 5:38-43) to be righteous under the law.

Jesus said you have to be PERFECT as the Father (MATT 5:48). Are you perfect like God in your behavior?

Do you want to know how to be PERFECT under the LAW ?

Jesus told the man who asked Jesus how to be saved by the LAW?

Jesus said to not only keep the Ten Commandments but MAINLY to BE PERFECT by selling all your possessions to the poor, carrying the cross (dying like Jesus as a martyr) !! (MATT 19:21)

This was not only for rich people, it was commanded to ALL the Jews under the Law.

LUKE 14 “25 Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: 26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. 27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple……33 In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.“

Have you given up EVERYTHING including your possessions, jobs, families, lands, etc… ?Have you become PERFECT like GOD ?If not, you are NOT RIGHTEOUS according to the law.

Please stop saying that you need to obey the law to be saved.

NOBODY CAN DO IT…..ONLY JESUS DID it…..This is why Jesus FULFILLED THE LAW ….because you cannot do it. He gave up everything, He did not sin, He is perfect as the Father, He carried the cross FOR YOUR SAKE….He KEPT the LAW for your sake….He died on the cross for your inability to keep the law….He rose from the dead declaring GRACE to you….

So what do you have to do?

Humble yourselves…..Accept that you ARE NOT keeping the LAW…you are not perfect….you have not obeyed the Law as Jesus commanded….you did not carry the cross, you did not sell everything, you still sin in your heart…

ACCEPT that you cannot be Righteous by the LAW….

You can be made Righteous by FAITH in JESUS…

Accept that you cannot be saved by your works…You can be made righteous by the Death and Resurrection of Jesus….if you TRUST in Him and not in your works…

ROMANS 4 “4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness…..God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”

GOD will make you RIGHTEOUS if you simply believe in Jesus and stop trusting in your works of the law. It is a FREE GIFT…This is the GRACE of God….

Salvation is a GIFT thanks to ALL the WORK DONE by JESUS for you!
