SAVED by the DEATH and RESURRECTION of JESUS CHRIST through Faith and not our works.

EPHESIANS 2 “8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.”

If salvation is by our good works / obedience to the law/commandments then we can BOAST before God….Therefore God cannot save us by our works.Nobody is as perfect as God…and therefore nobody can be saved by works.

Salvation is by GRACE received by FAITH alone…and not works.

How are we saved?

It is by the WORK of Jesus Christ through His DEATH and RESURRECTION.

EPHESIANS 2 ” 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus”

  • We were DEAD in sin as unbelievers.
  • This is why Jesus DIED on the cross taking all our sins.
  • When we BELIEVED in Jesus, God made us ALIVE with Christ having FORGIVEN us ALL sin, and perfectly Righteous as Jesus Himself.

Salvation is not based on any work that we do……it is 100% based on the GRACE of GOD displayed by the DEATH and RESURRECTION of Jesus, that we RECEIVED by FAITH and not our works.GOD JUSTIFIES us (makes us RIGHTEOUS) because Jesus died for our sins and rose to make us righteous.

ROMANS 4 “God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”
