The Grace Guarantee

The Grace Guarantee.

Ephesians 2 “8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

The Gospel does not come with fine print or some hidden clauses where we can lose salvation if we sin.
Most Churches know that we are saved by grace by faith in Christ.
But then they add conditions and clauses to the grace of God.
They say that we need to keep the 10 commandments to be really sure of salvation or that if we sin then we can lose salvation.
That is man’s “fine print” hidden in their Gospel contract.

But why would God make such a system like that? If believers can lose salvation by sins or only become sanctified by good works, then why not just make it a works-based salvation from the beginning – at least that way there’s no fine print or hidden clause in the contract.
But such a contract goes against the gospel of Grace !!

Romans 11 “And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.”

The truth is that God’s grace will not let anyone boast in their efforts. The Gospel removes all human effort.
This is why we are saved by grace through faith, and not our works.
So then what about our Christian walk?
It is also characterized by grace.
It is the same Grace of God that teaches us to do good and love others:

Titus 2 “1 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.”

How can Grace teach us to do good ?
It is because Grace says that the believer is already righteous without works!

Titus 3 “4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. “

Grace removes the guilt and pressure to perform!
It says that we are already righteous without doing anything, so now we can do good works because we are already saved and righteous !!
And as believers, the more we see that we are holy saints in Christ who are perfect and forgiven, we have greater motivation to reflect our true nature in our actions!
You see how God uses GRACE to save the believer and then guide us to live our lives.
This is the GRACE Guarantee without any fine print or hidden clauses.

Have a blessed day 🙂
