Jesus came to end all sacrifices for sin.

In the ancient world, they believed in blood sacrifice for sin.

The Jews sacrificed animals under the old covenant.

The pagans offered sacrifices to their gods.

But God never desired such sacrifices of religion because none of those things could take away sin.

Therefore Jesus came to end all such sacrifices by taking away sin once and for all.

Hebrews 10 ” 4 It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.7 Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll— I have come to do your will, my God.’”8 First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. 9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all…..I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more”

The death of Christ is the love of God displayed to the world, saying that God will do anything to love us and forgive us.

Romans 5 “6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Jesus died for the sins of the world, rose from the dead to end the sacrificial system of the law in the destruction of the Temple in AD70.

Today we live in the New Covenant world, where God says to the world “I LOVE YOU”,…..we receive His unconditional love when we believe that Jesus has taken away our sins.

Everyone who believes in Jesus Christ will be saved and live in the new heaven and earth at his 2nd coming in the future.
