Matthew 5 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”

Those who realize that they have no righteousness in their works will hunger and thirst for grace.When we believe in Jesus Christ, we are filled – with the gift of righteousness- once and for all.

Romans 4 “5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.”

Christ Himself is our Righteousness and every other spiritual blessing!

1 Corinthians 1 “28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.””

This is why we will not hunger and thirst anymore!

John 6 “Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”It is because every believer in Christ is righteous apart from works.
