Christ came to fulfill and remove the law and spiritual death.

When Adam sinned, he introduced spiritual death and separation from God.

The law given to Israel was the ministry of spiritual death and condemnation.

The reason the law was given was so that our sins would be paid on the cross by Christ.

Galatians 4 “4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent out his Son, born to a woman, born under the law, 5 that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as children.”

This is why Jesus was born under the law to die on the cross to signal the end of the law.

Jesus waited 40 years for Israel to come out of law before He would destroy it in AD70.

The old covenant was the city of Jerusalem.It was CAST AWAY in AD70.

Galatians 4 “24 One covenant is from Mount Sinai… and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. 26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother….28 Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. 29 At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. 30 But what does Scripture say? “GET RID of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” “

In His 1st coming when He died on the cross in AD30, the veil in the temple tore and signaled the ending of the law to come 40 years later.

Jesus removed the Law in AD70 by destroying Jerusalem and the Temple.

The will of God has always been to remove the law that condemns and to bring GRACE that loves and saves us.

Hebrews 10 “9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

The will of God was for Jesus to die, rise again, to remove the law and bring salvation.

He will return in the 2nd coming to bring an end to physical death and resurrect all the believers to live in a new heaven and earth.

Today there is no more law.

There is no more curse.We have free access to God through Jesus Christ.
