The veil has been removed so we can see God by faith in Christ.
Revelation 22 “And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.”
When Adam sinned, mankind was barred from the tree of life, not being able to live forever with God. When the Law was given to Israel, it brought condemnation and death. The Jews had the law written on their foreheads and their eyes were veiled. The Temple in Jerusalem had a veil that separated man from God by the law. They could not see or know God’s heart of grace. They were under the curse of the law. The Gentiles were outside the law without God.
2 Corinthians 3 ” 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. “
But Jesus died on the cross to end the law and remove the curse for those who believe in Him.When Jesus came, we can see the Glory of God’s grace in the face of Christ that forgives the worst of sinners.
2 Corinthians 4 “6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.”
When Jesus died on the cross, the veil in the temple tore – signifying the end of the law. When the temple itself was destroyed in AD70, the law was fully removed.
There is no Jew or Gentile, and no law today.
Today, all nations can come to Jesus to see God the Father and receive eternal life as a free gift.
