The Age of law ended in the 1st Century

The Age of law ended in the 1st Century thanks to the Cross of Christ.

Hebrews 8:13 “By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.”

The law ended on the cross and was going to disappear in the 1st Century when Israel was judged.

This is why Paul told the Gentile believers to fulfill the law in the last days of their generation before the law passed away.

Romans 13:8,10-11 “Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law…..And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer NOW than when we first believed.”

James also said the same thing to Jewish believers in the last days of their generation.

James 2:8 “If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well;”

James 5 “in the last days…..The Judge is standing at the door!”

1 John 2:18 “Dear children, this is the last hour”

1 Peter 4 “7 But the end of all things is at hand”

It was the last days of the Old Covenant / law / Age of the law.

1 Corinthians 7 “For this world in its present form is passing away.”

1 Corinthians 10:11 “Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come”

Hebrews 9:26 “but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.”

Jesus took away the law to bring a New Covenant.

Hebrews 10:9 “then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

When Jesus died on the cross, the law was canceled.

This was symbolized by the tearing of the veil in the Temple.

The people were given one generation to leave the law by faith in Christ Jesus.

When the temple was destroyed in AD70, the law was removed.

There is no law today. The old covenant is gone.

The temple and priesthood of the law has disappeared for 1900 years.

We are not commanded to fulfill the law because we have nothing to do with the law.

There is only GRACE for the last 1900 years.

We are in the Age of Grace of the New Covenant.

All people are invited to come and take the free gift of salvation by faith in Christ.

Salvation is purely by grace through faith without works.Works are not evidence of salvation.

Fulfilling the law is not evidence of salvation.

A believer cannot fall from grace into law because the old covenant does not exist today.

A believer is permanently in GRACE.

Everyone who believes in Jesus is forgiven and made righteous apart from any works.
