Jesus rose from the dead to take us out of sin!

Jesus rose from the dead to take us out of sin!

1 Corinthians 15:17 “And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.”

The unbelievers are still in their sins because they don’t believe in Jesus.

The believer is not in our sins because Jesus rose from the dead.

Jesus became sin on the cross and rose from the dead in Righteousness.

In Jesus there is no sin !

1 John 3:5 “But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.”

The believer is in Christ.

Therefore the believer is not in sin anymore.

What does this mean? Don’t we still sin even after faith in Christ ?

Yes, but our sin is not imputed.

It’s because our sin was judged once and for all on the cross.

Jesus rose from the dead and sin cannot be imputed to Him.

We are IN CHRIST, therefore there is no condemnation for us.

Romans 8 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,”

1 Corinthians 1 “those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus”

We are not in sin anymore. We are alive in Christ, forgiven all sin.

Colossians 2:13-14 “13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses”

Sin will no longer be accounted to the believer because Jesus died for all our sins and rose from the dead.

We were raised with Him forever.

The believer is righteous because we are in Christ and He lives in us.

Your sins are forgiven forever because Jesus lives forever!
