Romans 8 “15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”

In every religion in the world, the people worship their “god” like slaves living in fear.

They try to do works to appease God in the fear of avoiding judgment.

God is very distant from the slaves in all these religions.

There is no love but fear.

Unfortunately even as Christians, we can make the same mistake by relying on our works to please God. We become slaves living in fear.

But the truth is that Jesus came to set us free from the slavery of fear of God.

Jesus showed us that God loves us.God came to this earth in Jesus who perfectly did all the works and then died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead.

Jesus revealed the true nature of God – the One who loves you so much that He died on the cross for you.When we believe in Jesus:- we are forgiven all sins- we are righteous by faith- we are not slaves anymore.- we are children of God.

What kind of God is this Jesus ???

What kind of love is this in Christ ???

He did all the work to give me salvation freely !!

God made us His children simply by believing in Jesus and not based on works.

A slave tries to earn his reward by works.

A son is righteous by faith and not works.Jesus loves us so much that He has removed the fear of slavery for believers – making us children of God.

He lives in us. His Spirit in us tells us not to fear judgment because our sins are forgiven in Jesus.
