What did the Gospel do to the believer?

Jesus did no sin but He died for our sins.

Jesus was buried, having taken our sins away forever.

Jesus rose from the dead to make us righteous.

We were ungodly sinners who were unrighteous.

When we believe in Jesus without trusting in our works, then we are made righteous through His death, burial, and resurrection.

Romans 4:5,24-25 “However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. …God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”

The believer who trusts in Jesus is righteous.

The believer is as righteous as Jesus.

It’s all thanks to Jesus’ finished work.

Everyone who believes in Christ, is eternally forgiven and is as righteous as God.

What a glorious gospel !!
