What kind of love is this?

Romans 5:6-8 “For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die. But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

I cannot imagine dying for anyone else.

But what kind of love does Jesus have for me? He is God and I’m a flawed human being. He did all of this for me?

He loves me so much that He chose to brutally die for me, so that He could forgive all my sins and make me Righteous by faith without doing a single work?

Romans 5:1-2 “Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

He will give me His glory, freely….He paid the full price.

It’s like a man giving up everything to make a woman his precious bride, even dying for her.

What do we have to do? Nothing but say “Yes I believe”

He gave up everything for me and you, as described here:

Matthew 13 44 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

45 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls, 46 who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.”

Jesus loved us to give us everything He has.

John 13 “Now before the feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that his time had come that he would depart from this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.”

Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the God Almighty.

He created the universes, the galaxies. The Sun, moon, and stars obey Him. He lives in the glory of light and majesty, inapproachable by any of creation. He is so holy and glorious.

But this Jesus loves you and me so much that He chose to become a human being and taste all our sin on the cross.

He did not die for us to make us slaves.

If He wanted slaves, He could have just told us to do something and given us a reward for our work.

No, He wants a bride. He wants to love us.

He wants to share His glory, His righteousness, His honor, His perfection with us.

John 17 “22 The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one; 23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me and loved them, even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 Righteous Father, the world hasn’t known you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.””

This is why He loved us so much that He tasted our sin, death, and suffering on the cross and then rose from the dead.

So that we are forgiven all sins and receive His righteousness, His perfection, His glory freely as a gift by faith without our works.

What kind of love is this !!!This is our Lord JESUS the One who loves us.

Nobody loves you like Jesus.

He has loved you more than we can imagine!

What kind of love does Jesus have for us !!

Lord I want to know your love for me everyday.
