The Free Gift in Christ

The Free Gift of Salvation through faith in Christ.

Revelation 22 “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.”

Those who try to earn salvation by works, receive the wages of death. But we who believe in Christ apart from works, receive the gift of eternal life in Jesus.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 4:4-5 “Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.”

The believer has the Gift of God’s righteousness through His abundant grace! Imagine that….God has gifted us His Holiness, Righteousness, Perfection simply by faith in Christ and not by our works!

Romans 5:17 “those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!”

Not by works, the gift of salvation by grace received thru’ faith.

Ephesians 2 “8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.”

God does not take back his Gift.

James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

Romans 11:29 “for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.”

Christ Himself is our Gift !!

1 Corinthians 1:7 “Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.”

2 Corinthians 9:15 “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”
