The world is engrossed with Israel and its land.
Under the law, Israel had a promised land, a Temple, priesthood, sacrifice, etc. But now Christ is the fulfillment of the law.
Romans 10 “4 For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.”
Jesus is the true temple of God.
John 2 “19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20 The Jews therefore said, “It took forty-six years to build this temple! Will you raise it up in three days?” 21 But he spoke of the temple of his body.”
And we who believe in Christ are one with Him (The Temple).
Ephesians 2 “9 So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God, 20 being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone; 21 in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord; 22 in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.”
1 Corinthians 6 “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit…9 Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,“
Jesus is the final sacrifice that fulfilled the law.
Hebrews 10: “12 but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting until his enemies are made the footstool of his feet. 14 For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”
He is our High Priest (Hebrews 2:17, 3:1, 4:14-15, 6:20, 8:1, 9:11).
Jesus is the true Israel.
Hosea 11:1 “When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.”
Matthew 2:14-15 “He (Joseph) arose and took the young child (JESUS) and his mother by night and departed into Egypt, and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called my son.”
When Jesus was a child, He was taken to Egypt to avoid the persecution of Herod. But He returned from Egypt to live in Israel and bring salvation to the world, to all who believe in Him – both Jew and Gentile.
The law was a shadow, but the true reality of salvation is found in Christ alone – in Him we are complete, forgiven all sin and made complete by faith in Jesus:
Colossians 2 “9 For in him all the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily, 10 and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power….13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us. He has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross….16 Let no one therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day, 17 which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ’s”
We look forward to Jesus coming
Philippians 3 “20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.”
What is God’s will today?
From 1st Timothy 2:1-6, we know that God wants peace in the world and people from all nations to be saved by faith in Christ. There is no special blessing on any specific nation.
The only blessing from God is that we believe in Jesus Christ His Son.
This is great teaching very believer would have to read and hear
