The hope of believers is Eternity with God and Christ

1 John 2 “15 Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s. 17 The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.”

Everything in the world will pass away. But if we do the will of God, we will live forever. The will of God is that we believe in Christ who died on the cross to make a New Covenant. By this covenant, we are eternally forgiven and perfect if we believe in Christ.

Hebrews 10 “9 then he has said, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He takes away the first, that he may establish the second, 10 by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all….I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more”1 Timothy 2 “3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.”

The will of God is that we become saved by grace through faith in Christ. After we are saved, His will is that we love one another and not love the things of the world.

1 John 3 “23 This is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he commanded. “

This world will pass away. But faith, hope and love remain.

1 Corinthians 13 “13 But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.”

Faith in Christ remains now in the hope of heaven one day, experiencing His love both now on earth and forever in heaven.

The love of God through the Gospel is the greatest thing in this world. His love gives us eternal life when we believe in Christ.

John 3 ” 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. 18 He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God”

We look forward to a new world with God and Jesus.

2nd Peter 3 “13 But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.”

Revelation 21 “I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more. 2 I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. 3 I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.”

Revelation 22 “3 There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no night, and they need no lamp light or sun light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.”

One day, we will see our beloved Father and loving Jesus.

What a day that will be, dear friends!

We will see the face of the One who loved us so much!

We will be enthralled in His never-ending love.

Everyone who believes in Christ is forgiven all sins and made righteous by grace through faith.
