The Gospel is very simple:

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived the perfect life without sinning – on our behalf.

The world’s sins were judged on His body when He died on the cross.

He rose from the dead, offering the gift of righteousness to the human race.

2nd Corinthians 5 “¹⁸ But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

All we have to do is simply BELIEVE in Jesus to receive forgiveness, righteousness, eternal life.

Those who don’t believe, will be judged.

John 3:16-18 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. “

Those who believe in Jesus, are forgiven, saved, eternally righteous without works.

The only criteria is faith in Jesus Christ. It’s not based on our sins or good deeds.

Romans 10:9 “that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Acts 10:43 “All the prophets testify about Christ, that through his name everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins.”

Ephesians 2:8-9 “for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.”

Matthew 9:2 “Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”

Luke 7:50 “He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

Our sins has been fully dealt with on the cross. We are perfect by His finished work.

Hebrews 10:10,17-18 “by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all…..I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more….Now where forgiveness of these is, there is no more offering for sin”

Christ is not going to die again because our sins are forgiven. He is not returning to judge the sins of believers but to bring salvation. It’s because He already took care of our sins on the cross.

Hebrews 9:27-28 “Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment, so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation.“

The only people who are judged are those who did not believe in Jesus Christ. They are judged for the sin of unbelief.

John 16:8-9 “When he has come, he will convict the world about sin..because they don’t believe in me; “

But to those who believe, there is no judgment because we are already forgiven.

John 5:24 ““Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and doesn’t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.”
