Christ’s death, burial and resurrection is the only work that saves those who believe!
Romans 4 “5 But to him who doesn’t work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.”
There are no works for anyone to do to be saved.
Absolutely nothing.
If you believe in Christ, then you are made righteous without works.
Why is that?
It’s because Jesus died to forgive your sins and was raised to make you righteous.
Romans 4 “to whom it will be accounted, who believe in him who raised Jesus, our Lord, from the dead, 25 who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.”
Our good works simply cannot compare to what Jesus did.
No works can earn salvation or righteousness.
This is why Jesus Christ alone had to live the perfect life that never sinned.
The law demanded perfection and Jesus obeyed it perfectly.
The law demanded death for our sins and Jesus paid for our sins by His death.
And because Jesus is God who never sinned, He rose from the dead, raising us with Him, declaring us RIGHTEOUS, FORGIVEN and PERFECT sons of God.
Ephesians 2 “4 But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; 8 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, that no one would boast.”
