Does the Church believe the Gospel?

Does the Church really believe the Gospel?

What is the Gospel?

Everyone who believes in Christ is FORGIVEN ALL sin and given the FREE GIFT of God’s Righteousness without any works.

It’s a finished work that cannot be improved or reduced.

But the Church does not really believe that it’s 100% unconditional.

The reason is we ask these questions:

Q- what if we sin after believing in Jesus?

A- they add the confession of sins to make sure we are *really* forgiven

Q- Are we really righteous without any works?

A- they quote James 2 saying that we need some works

Q- What if we commit repetitive sins?

A- they say that we can lose salvation.

Dear friends, the Gospel is made by God and not by man.

God’s ways are not our ways. His thoughts are HIGHER than ours.

Isaiah 55 ““For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky,
and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth,
and makes it grow and bud,
    and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11 so is my word that goes out of my mouth:
it will not return to me void,
but it will accomplish that which I please,
and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.
12 For you shall go out with joy,
and be led out with peace.
The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing;
and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.”

The word of our salvation is Jesus Christ Himself, who came down from heaven to earth to die on the cross and be raised from the dead to forgive us eternally and make us righteous by grace through faith – Christ did not fail – He finished the work. If you believe in Jesus, you are forgiven and righteous forever – we now have peace with God, joy in our hearts.

Psalm 103 “For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”

The believer’s sins have been permanently removed because Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead to make us righteous.

God will never judge or remember our sins anymore!

Romans 4 ““Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whom the Lord will by no means charge with sin.”

Hebrews 10 “I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more”

We could do nothing to be saved.

We can do nothing to be holy.

That is why Jesus Christ lived the perfect life.

This is why Christ died on the cross for our sins.

He rose from the dead to make us righteous!

You see, it is completely what Jesus has done and nothing to do with us.

This is why it is Good News.

It is too good to be true for some people.

But we must believe – this is the only way.Jesus did it – and we simply receive it by faith. This is GRACE.
