Grace cannot be mixed with works

Can a person be saved by faith in Christ even if he does not do a single good work?

Yes! Just look at the thief on the cross.

It’s because God’s grace cannot be mixed with our good works.

Romans 11:6 “And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

We are nothing but small pieces of dust compared to the Almighty God who created billions of galaxies and the entire universe.

So then what works can we human beings do to attain Almighty God’s grace?

Nothing at all.

He is God and we are just mere humans.

This is why God’s grace does not need our help.

He gives salvation by grace without our works only to those who believe in Jesus Christ.

It’s because Jesus Christ is God who came in the flesh and did not sin.

He lived a life of perfect righteousness of God.

But He died for our sins and then rose from the dead because He never sinned.

His perfect righteousness can be credited to us freely if we simply believe in Christ.

So then what does it mean to believe in Jesus Christ.

To believe means to TRUST in Jesus and not in our works.

It means to only rely on Jesus Christ to be saved and not in our works/goodness.

It means to rely 100% on God’s grace for salvation.

Ephesians 2 “for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.”

If there is anything we can boast about in our works, then God cannot accept it.

God’s grace can only be given if we have nothing to boast but only TRUST in Jesus alone.

Acts 15 “11 But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus

We are justified/made righteous FREELY by grace (without our works) that is received through FAITH in CHRIST.

Romans 3 “23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; 24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; 25 whom God sent to be an atoning sacrifice, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God’s forbearance;”

Everyone who BELIEVES in Jesus Christ receives the forgiveness of sins and the Righteousness of God as a FREE GIFT by GRACE without doing a single work!
