God is the Almighty who has created the entire universe. If we look at the vast earth and the heavens, galaxies, millions of stars, we see the handiwork of God Almighty.

Psalm 19 “The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.
² Day after day they pour out speech, and night after night they display knowledge.”

Isaiah 40 “²¹ Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard?
    Haven’t you been told from the beginning?
    Haven’t you understood from the foundations of the earth?
²² It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers;
    who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in,
²³     who brings princes to nothing, who makes the judges of the earth meaningless.

Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard? The everlasting God, Yahweh, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn’t faint. He isn’t weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
²⁹ He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.”

We are just mere mortals, who are here today and gone tomorrow, like the vapor, the grass in the field. We are nothing compared to the immortal Almighty God.

Comparing our good works over a small lifetime to GOD’s IMMORTAL GLORY…..is like comparing “dust” to a billion Suns!  There is no comparison! Mere words cannot do such comparison any justice.

Psalm 103

“For he knows how we are made. He remembers that we are dust.
¹⁵ As for man, his days are like grass. As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
¹⁶ For the wind passes over it, and it is gone. Its place remembers it no more.”

This is why man can do nothing to save ourselves.

The fall of Adam was because a mere human being tried to become like GOD by his own morality (knowing good vs evil). The sin of man was self-righteousness – trying to reach God’s righteousness by human effort.

But what can a mere human being do to be immortal and perfect like God in heaven? Nothing! Our good works cannot save us!

You see, we cannot become like God by our own righteousness. There is nothing we can do to save ourselves. There is no good works we can “do” to live forever like God.

Psalm 71 “God, your righteousness also reaches to the heavens.
    You have done great things. God, who is like you?”

All men fall short of the GLORY of GOD. No one is righteous, not even one! Nobody is as holy as the Lord.  He gave the Law to show mankind that we cannot save ourselves.

Romans 3 ” ¹⁰ As it is written, There is no one righteous: no not one…. Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God. ²⁰ Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.”

We had no hope, being condemned under the Law.

But then God SO LOVED the WORLD, that He sent His only begotten SON – who is GOD Himself to reveal the GRACE of GOD.

John 1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² The same was in the beginning with God. ³ All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made….¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time. The one and only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him…..²⁹ The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! “

John 3 “¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

This GRACE through FAITH in Christ, FREELY justifies us!

Romans 3 “²¹ But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets; ²² even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction, ²³ for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; ²⁴ being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; ²⁵ whom God sent to be an atoning sacrifice, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God’s forbearance; “

Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD – He came in the flesh as a man, and He DID NOT SIN.

And yet He died for our sins. He was raised from the dead proving to be the SON of GOD.

We could not do any good works to save ourselves – because what can mere mortals like us do to become Immortal like Almighty GOD ? Nothing !!! We can do nothing !

This is the SALVATION of ALMIGHTY GOD

• We can do NOTHING – human beings are utterly powerless to save ourselves!
• Therefore ALMIGHTY GOD DID EVERYTHING – by sending His SON JESUS CHRIST.

God loved us so much, that He SAVES us by JESUS CHRIST:

• He lived a perfect life without sinning. He alone is perfectly Righteous (with God).
• He died for all our sins. (Nothing but His blood could forgive our sins.)
• He rose from the dead because He never sinned and He is perfectly righteous.
• He rose from the dead to make us righteous if we believe in Him and not trust in our works.
• The forgiveness of sins and His righteousness is freely credited to us as the GIFT of salvation by GRACE received through FAITH in Christ apart from any works.

Ephesians 2 “⁴ But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, ⁵ even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— ⁶ and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, ⁷ that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; ⁸ for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, ⁹ not of works, that no one would boast. ¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.”

This is the ALMIGHTY SALVATION of GOD.

Salvation is only possible through ALMIGHTY GOD’s death on the cross for our sins and His resurrection.

Nothing else could save us – not any good works from us – but only CHRIST JESUS’s FINISHED WORK that can only be received by GRACE through faith without our works.
