The Christian faith is a miraculous one in every way.
We believe in God who we cannot see.
But we have all the evidence that He exists. Why?
It is because we live in the only inhabitable planet in the entire universe, known to mankind. There is no other species like us anywhere in the universe. This was not some accident.
The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ the Son of God existed before all things and He created all things!
John 1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Colossians 1
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
He is the same God who created the entire universe and everything we see in this physical realm and also everything in the invisible spiritual realm.
In Him ALL things hold together! Jesus Christ is the GREAT I AM.
He is the GREAT CREATOR of ALL THINGS.
He is the One who split up the Red Sea and did so many things!
Job 26
He spreads out the northern skies over empty space;
he suspends the earth over nothing.
8 He wraps up the waters in his clouds,
yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.
9 He covers the face of the full moon,
spreading his clouds over it.
10 He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters
for a boundary between light and darkness.
11 The pillars of the heavens quake,
aghast at his rebuke.
12 By his power he churned up the sea;
by his wisdom he cut Rahab to pieces.
13 By his breath the skies became fair;
his hand pierced the gliding serpent.
14 And these are but the outer fringe of his works;
how faint the whisper we hear of him!
Who then can understand the thunder of his power?”
This ALL-powerful God also LOVES YOU and ME.
The FULLNESS of God came in Jesus Christ and He died on the cross and reconciled all of us. This is how powerful He is. One man’s death on the cross forgave all our sins! How can one man’s death give us forgiveness? It is because God’s FULLNESS is in Jesus Christ His Son – the image of the invisible God!
Colossians 1
18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his FULLNESS dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross……. in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Jesus existed before anything existed. He created the entire human race. Yet, Adam sinned and brought death to the world. But then Jesus Christ died on the cross and was the FIRST to be raised from the dead – so that in EVERYTHING HE HAS THE SUPREMACY.
He has DEFEATED the greatest enemy of DEATH.
Nobody had seen God before. Not Abraham or Moses or David. But the SON of GOD who lived nearest the Father’s heart came to reveal His ABUNDANT GRACE and FULLNESS of GRACE to us! God became flesh and showed His abundant grace to us!
John 1
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, FULL of GRACE and truth.
16 Out of his FULNESS, we have all received GRACE in place of GRACE already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; GRACE and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
God is not stingy! He is the most powerful and glorious and possesses every good blessing. He is FULL of GRACE – He wants to give us as much as possible!
That is why He sent Jesus to show us his true nature of GRACE upon GRACE
What is this abundance of GRACE? He took away our sins on the cross!
John 1
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
The abundance of GRACE is that He gave the believer the GIFT of GOD’s RIGHTEOUSNESS. The believer in Christ receives ABUNDANT GRACE – the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD as a FREE GIFT.
Romans 5 ” 17 For if, by the trespass of the one man (ADAM), death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!”
If He has given us HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS then He will surely do miracles in our lives!
This Jesus Christ did so many miracles – He healed the sick, He opened the eyes of the blind. He turned water into wine. He healed the lepers with a touch. He drove out demons setting people free. He did good everywhere He went because this is God’s true nature of love and power!
Acts 10 “38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him”
The Bible says that Jesus Christ never changes! He never stopped doing miracles. He cannot stop it because His LOVE NEVER CHANGES. His love never fails!
Hebrews 13 “8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Abraham was without a son for almost 100 years and almost as good as dead, both he and his wife were unable to have children, but He believed in the God who could raise the dead. He did not get discouraged by his own situation but kept looking in faith to the one who has all the power to do what He says!
Romans 4
“18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. 22 This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”
23 The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”……40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
JESUS IS LORD.
JESUS IS LORD.
JESUS IS LORD.
