THE CROSS DESTROYS ALL BARRIERS

The law had separated Israel and all nations (Gentiles) based on circumcision and their 613 laws. The Gentiles were separated from the covenant of Israel in the past, but thanks to Jesus Christ’s death on the cross, now the law has ended on the cross and therefore all nations (Gentiles + Jews) are now able to receive salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord who died for the entire world!

Ephesians 2 “¹¹ Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)— ¹² remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. ¹³ But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. ¹⁴ For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, ¹⁵ by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, ¹⁶ and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. ¹⁷ He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. ¹⁸ For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.”

THE MYSTERY of PAGAN GENTILES BEING SAVED

In the Old Testament, it was not revealed that the pagan nations who were uncircumcised could be saved. But after Jesus died, the Holy Spirit revealed to the Apostles – first to Peter and then to Paul that God has accepted ALL nations and this MYSTERY is revealed that the Gentiles (all nations) are now eligible for salvation through Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1 “²⁵ I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness— ²⁶ the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. ²⁷ To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

The Gentiles were previously separated from Israel by their uncircumcision but were now forgiven all sins by the death of Christ on the cross. His death on the cross was the true circumcision (His body was pierced) and our flesh was put away with Him, buried with Him in baptism and made righteous through His obedience alone! The law that stood accusing the world (Jew + Gentile) was canceled on the cross! There is no law and therefore no Jew or Gentile!

Colossians 2 “^“8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. ⁹ For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, ¹⁰ and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. ¹¹ In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, ¹² having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. ¹³ When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, ¹⁴ having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. ¹⁵ And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

GOD SEES EVERYONE THE SAME now that ceremonial Law has ENDED

Under the law, nobody could become righteous because the law demanded perfection and nobody could attain it. Now that the law ended on the cross, the righteousness is given apart from the law by faith in Jesus Christ through GRACE to ALL who believe – both Jew and Gentile!

Romans 3 “²¹ But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. ²² This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, ²³ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. ²⁵ God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.”

The purpose of the law was to lead the Israelites to Christ but now that the law has ended, there is no need for it anymore. We are righteous by faith in Christ. There is no more law, and therefore no more Jew or Gentile. God has removed all barriers of human society – starting from the most basic division (no male or female) and everyone is equal in God’s eyes – all are made righteous by faith in Christ – there is no advantage for Jew or Gentile, male or female, slave or free, rich or poor –  all are God’s beloved children through faith in Christ – and receive the blessing of Abraham – the Holy Spirit who leads us to heaven.

Galatians 3 ” ²⁴ So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. ²⁵ Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. ²⁶ So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, ²⁷ for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. ²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. ²⁹ If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Therefore there is no point in talking about the law or circumcision or uncircumcision, the 12 tribes, the lost tribes, Jew or Gentile – are all useless topics – because the only thing that matters is FAITH in Christ that expresses love.

Galatians 5 ” ⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.”

SALVATION IS NOT BASED ON FLESH, BLOOD-LINE, MAN-MADE CHOICES

The Israelites believed that salvation was based on the flesh – by being a descendant of Abraham or by circumcision, by human will and desire.

But salvation is GOD’s WILL and He decided to make it by GRACE through giving the Holy Spirit to all who believe – not based on Abraham’s bloodline or circumcision or racial or tribal criteria.

John 1 “¹¹ He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. ¹² Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— ¹³ children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”

John 3 “⁵ Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. ⁶ Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. ⁷ You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ ⁸ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

The CROSS is the END of Israel-only. The LOVE of GOD is greater than all man-made, fleshly divisions and teachings.

Jesus Christ created all of humanity and He died for the entire world. He rose from the dead proving that He is the Son of God.

Everyone who believes in Jesus will be saved.
